Mariana

Mariana has been teaching Yoga for 10 years and teaches her students to practice with love, dedication and discipline to bring forth healing and to nurture their body, mind and spirit. It is her joy to support her students towards balance and well-being.

Mariana is a 400-hour Certified Yoga Teacher. Her teaching is based on Vinyasa Hatha Yoga and therapeutic aspects of yoga. She is a Traditional Naturopath with a degree as Doctor of Naturopathy from Trinity College of Natural Health, holds Certifications as a Nature's Sunshine Products Herb Specialist and in Tai-Chi for Arthritis Instruction, completed Thai Yoga Massage Level I and is a Licensed Cosmetologist.

Hatha Yoga

We are skilled in the art of hatha yoga. Our hatha personal trainers are slow-paced and gentle. We provide a good foundation of yoga instruction. You will learn basic poses, breathing exercises, seated meditation, and relaxation techniques. This is a chance for you to become familiar and comfortable with the art and practice of yoga, and your overall health and wellness will improve as you grow.
You may decide that you enjoy a slower paced hatha yoga, or as your skills and technique improve, you might prefer a more physical type of yoga. There are many advanced practices we can teach you. We find hatha works well in relieving stress, and is a good foundation for beginners.

Vinyasa Yoga

As you advance and gain confidence in your skills and new abilities, our personal yoga trainers may introduce you to vinyasa yoga. This type of training is all about fluid movement of the body with breath. You will be surprised to discover how this exercise helps you improve overall body tone by working muscles you may have never realized you had.

Our experienced instructors will teach you proper breathing techniques, and when to inhale and exhale has you go through different postures. Combined with other exercises, or on its own, vinyasa yoga is perfect to help you stretch, balance, and add flexibility to your body.
Prenatal Yoga NYC

One of our most popular personal yoga classes is our prenatal yoga NYC. Prenatal yoga is helpful for a variety of reasons. It keeps you in shape during your pregnancy and allows you to stretch and tone your muscles. Because yoga has almost no impact on your joints, it is an exercise that can safely be done in the third trimester of a pregnancy.
Another benefit to prenatal yoga is that you will learn the art of breathing and relaxing. These techniques will enable you to relax during labor and ease through the pain associated with contractions, when they occur.

Beginners yoga is like "Yoga 101." In beginners classes we will cover the history of yoga as well as asanas stretches which work to release stress, tension, and lactic acid from your muscles. We will introduce you to ashtanga or power yoga, which is a vigorous style of yoga that builds endurance and muscle tone.

We focus on the poses such as dog poses, both upward and downward, and the plank poses to help you build upper body strength. Our standing poses build strength in your abdominal muscles as well as your upper and lower leg muscles, while our chair poses work on your upper back. You will find our beginners yoga will work on developing your core strength within your abdominal muscles.
