Maren took her first yoga asana class over 10 years ago at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Estes Park, Colorado & she was hooked. After acting professionally in Minneapolis, Minnesota for a few years, she moved West, where she got her MFA in Acting from UC San Diego.
There, she got her Vinyasa yoga teaching certification from Prana Yoga Center in La Jolla, California under the teachers Gerhard Gessner and Ingrid Yang. She is happy to be in New York now and teaching at Gold's Gym, Om Factory and with Homebodies.
Eric has been certified with the American Council on Exercise since 1995 and a member of the Homebodies team since 2006. He has trained from Florida (Key West) to California (LA, San Francisco) and from New York City to Cape Cod. Specialties include precise Form and Technical Instruction, TRX, Cycle Reebok/Spinning, Flexibility, Core Training, and Basic Nutritional Counseling. His thorough understanding of what makes a body tick coupled with a terrifically upbeat personality make Eric one of New York City’s most sought after trainers.
Tammy has 15 years of professional experience in the fitness industry. She specializes in pre/post natal training, guiding her clients through a healthy fitness regimen throughout pregnancy, and then applying an efficient and balanced approach to getting back in shape post-baby. She has extensive experience working with a mature population, helping older adults function stronger and longer in their daily lives.
In addition, she trains those with goals of weight loss and overall body conditioning. Her workouts incorporate weight training, Pilates, yoga, step aerobics, cardio kickboxing, and more, depending on the needs and wants of the client. Tammy graduated with a B.A. in Dance from Hofstra University, is certified by the American Council of Exercise and received her Pilates training from the Kane School of Core Integration.
It is often said that things happen for a reason…Mariana can attest to this statement and the path that brought her to Yoga. With a history of many health problems, she was led to Naturopathic modalities, Yoga, and Meditation. Yoga was a great contribution to her healing process and with the benefits received she was eager to share it with others. Mariana has been teaching Yoga for 10 years and teaches her students to practice with love, dedication and discipline to bring forth healing and to nurture their body, mind and spirit. It is her joy to support her students towards balance and well-being.
Mariana is a 400-hour Certified Yoga Teacher. Her teaching is based on Vinyasa Hatha Yoga and therapeutic aspects of yoga. She is a Traditional Naturopath with a degree as Doctor of Naturopathy from Trinity College of Natural Health, holds Certifications as a Nature's Sunshine Products Herb Specialist and in Tai-Chi for Arthritis Instruction, completed Thai Yoga Massage Level I and is a Licensed Cosmetologist.
Jill has been a fitness professional for over fifteen years. After a short career in the corporate world, she realized her passions were for health, fitness and nutrition. She went back to school to get her fitness instructor certification from Marymount Manhattan college.
Jill has worked with a wide variety including senior citizens, pregnant women and persons requiring post rehabilitation or improvement with muscle imbalances. Jill has been creative in devising customized workouts based on the client’s specific needs and fitness goals. Her programs consist of traditional and functional training methods.
Jill has always been highly dedicated to assisting people achieve their fitness goals. She is eager to embrace current fitness trends and is able to offer creative enjoyable programs. She is a compassionate caring patient person. Jill also holds certifications from NSCA and NASM. Jill enjoys yoga and incorporates aspects of these lessons in her workouts; she continues to improve herself. She graduated from SUNY Albany with a BA in Economics and a minor in business administration.
Roy has over 21 years of experience getting results as a personal trainer. He specializes in weight loss, body toning, nutrition, heart rate training, sports drills, biking, running, soccer, and plyometrics. He started Playing Soccer at age 5 and has been going strong ever since.
Roy has always been active and competitive playing organized sports starting with Little League through High School, Collage and Post Collage. He comes from an active family life and has extensive exposure working with elite and professional athletes and trainers and coaches as well as people coming off of Physical Therapy Rehab.
Roy uses all the tools from his varied background to create challenging and unique workouts for people looking to get into shape or seeking to elevate their level of fitness to the next level. Roy is also a triathlete. AFAA and Sports Nutrition
Nathan has been in the fitness industry for over five years. He is Pilates mat and reformer certified and has extensive training in Ashtanga Yoga, Classical Ballet and Modern Dance. He teaches Pilates, sculpting, core, and yoga classes at gyms and dance studios around Manhattan as well as working one on one with private clients.
He emphasizes the importance of form and focus, helping and challenging clients to push themselves safely and effectively into the reality of their fitness goals. A versatile and enthusiastic trainer, his routines are challenging enough for the seasoned athlete or dancer, while remaining accessible enough for the beginner and adaptable enough to meet the needs of those with injuries or chronic pain.

And no matter what trend you lean towards to get you smiling through your sweat, I base all my training on assessing and correcting your natural postural imbalances so you won't hurt yourself during your workouts or during your daily routines. Vivian is a certified personal trainer certified by American Council on Exercise(ACE), National Academy of Sports Medicine(NASM), and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFFA), Also certified by Integral Yoga Institute specializing in Hatha Yoga, (RYT-200) and a Mat Pilates certified by PhysicalMind Institute. Focusing on functional training, core strength, and flexibility, the workouts are innovative and fun always adding new techniques and challenges. She has experience with individuals with cancer, seniors and those with osteoporosis. She has a BA from Tufts University.
Mark has been working as a personal trainer since 2003. He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, with specialized certifications in kettlebell and pre/post natal training. He loves to incorporate his knowledge of quadrupedal body weight training, plyometrics, and movement awareness into his practice. With this background, Mark educates his clients on how to lift, push and pull weight efficiently and safely, yet posses a sense of agility.
In addition to having a national certification in personal training, he holds a BA in Cultural Studies from the New School for Social Research, and a MFA in Choreography and Performance from the State University of New York College at Brockport. Mark appreciates the connections between his career as a dance maker and as a personal trainer. Both require technique, attention to movement quality, studying the body moving in space, and creativity.

Martine is a certified Yoga instructor through Dharma Mittra (Dharma Yoga Center NYC), and certified in Mat Pilates through Power Pilates. As a consistent Transcendental Meditation practitioner, she has always had a deep understanding of the mind-body connection and how necessary it is to move static energy around to open not only the body but the mind as well.
As a child, she loved to be active and was involved in numerous sports from soccer, softball, Tae Kwon Do, and dance (Ballet, Modern, Jazz) which all eventually led to Pilates and Yoga. After discovering Yoga 15 years ago she began to practice numerous styles such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Bikram, and Iyengar, ultimately Dharma Yoga Center was where she found one of the most complete practices. She enjoys working with all levels and ages. When practicing with her, clients have seen amazing results in their flexibility, strength, and peace of mind.
Her sessions may consist of any combination of the physical (asana practice), meditation, breathing exercises (pranayama), and deep relaxation. Martine's intention is to create a safe and supported space where one can experience patience, a deeper level of awareness, and ultimately freedom within.
Jessica has been a serious student of movement sciences since 2005 and has been working in the fitness industry as an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and group exercise instructor since 2009. Her introduction to exercise sciences and somatic practices began at The College at Brockport SUNY where she received a BFA in Dance Performance and studied anatomy and kinesiology, conditioning and injury prevention, Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals and Alexander Technique.
Since receiving her personal training certification, Jessica has continued to develop her education and has earned specialties in lower back disorder prevention and rehabilitation, PNF stretching and strength training for weight loss and has become known for her work in corrective exercise, postural alignment, core work and sports specific cross training.
Jessica enjoys creating dynamic programs that draw on a variety of styles such as heavy weight lifting, full-bodied aerobics and yoga postures, and pushes her clients try unfamiliar exercises. Her favorite part of being a personal trainer is when her clients realize they stronger than they thought they were, and she encourages them to apply that same feeling to everything they pursue.
Shirlee has been a dancer since the age of 3 and is driven by her passion for dance, movement, fitness, health, and energy. Shirlee earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and is trained in all styles of dance with a concentration in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. After settling down from auditioning and performing, Shirlee decided to take her love and knowledge of movement and the body to a new level. She became an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal trainer.
The desire to be as functional and well-rounded as possible led to Shirlee's training style, which incorporates everything from strength, power, flexibility, plyometrics, bodyweight exercises and even dance inspired movements. She is dedicated to providing individualized, goal-driven programs and looks forward to helping clients become happy and healthy inside and out.
Sarah has been a Certified Personal Trainer in NYC for the past five years and has worked at some of the most elite gyms in the city. She is NCSF and Precision Nutrition Certified and specializes in weight loss, marathon training, strength-training pre/post natal and nutritional guidance.
She is a huge proponent of Functional Training - training the body to perform life's daily activities and closely watches form to prevent injury. She enjoys helping people transform their bodies and share her passion for health and fitness.
Over 10 years of ballet, jazz and various styles of dance training, and 8 years of yoga practice, has helped Katherine refine body movement, flow and form. She is a NASM certified personal trainer, with a specialty in TRX and has experience working with a diverse array of clients to help them reach their goals, from losing weight to improving athletic ability.
She focuses on pushing the limits of the human body, while maintaining proper form and execution of the exercises. She believes that your attitude in the gym and the effort your put into your workouts will transfer over into how you live your life. Katherine uses her passions for fitness to inspire and motivate her clients and to help them transform their bodies, as well as their overall well-being.
Katherine has a tendency to take on everything she does with full force; she picked up running a few years ago and hasn’t stopped since. She finds sanity in this crazy city through distance running. She challenges anyone who says they “hate running,” or “can’t run,” to give her a chance to transform their thinking.
Tracy graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Community Health Education. She is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She also holds specialty certifications in Pilates, Pole dancing and PreNatal fitness.
Tracy has over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, and has helped hundreds clients transform their bodies. In 2002, she earned her Professional Status as a Women's Fitness Competitor in the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB), after successfully competing for over 10 years. Tracy enjoys learning new ways to maximize performance and teaching others to take control of their physical health.
As an athlete and dancer, Emily has always been physical. While earning her BA in Dance at Smith College, she studied Anatomy and Kinesiology and opened her world to Injury Prevention, Physical Conditioning, Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. As a result, she has faced contact injuries, non contact injuries, weight gain and weight loss. Her extensive background and knowledge in dance and sport gives her a natural knack for fitness instruction as she specializes in Corrective Exercise from NASM, Pre/Post Natal training from Annette Lang, and TRX suspension Training. Her workouts incorporate functional movement, lean muscle toning and injury prevention exercises.
Mike was an athlete most of his life participating in Sports such as Basketball, Football and Track & Field and was team captain of the varsity basketball team. He soon realized after high school that what he enjoyed most was the training and conditioning for sports and decided to get his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University. After graduating he then pursued a personal training certification from the American Council on Exercise in 2010.
Mike believes in evaluating movement deficiency and using muscle activation methods to correct those imbalances so that the body is safely prepared for exercise. Every healthy body needs a solid foundation to avoid injury and that is his goal with every client. After receiving a certification in Corrective Exercise through the National Academy of Sports Medicine he continued studies in Injury prevention, post injury fitness. Now focusing on expanding his spectrum he has added specialties in pre/post natal fitness, TRX Suspension Training and Sports Specific Training.
Mary is a personal trainer and doctoral student in Physical Therapy at Hunter College. She has a BS in Exercise Science from Longwood University and an MA in Sports Performance from Ball State University. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and a Certified Clinic Exercise Physiologist (ACSM).
Mary offers a dynamic background as a personal trainer. She was a NCAA D1 college golfer and assistant golf coach. She's interned alongside a Fitness Specialist to PGA/LPGA Tour professionals and NHL hockey players. She's trained endurance athletes, elite collegiate athletes, recreational golfers, and everyday athletes.
Aside from athletics, she has a strong passion for exercise's dynamic and powerful role as a primary component of health. In her clinical practice, her patients have included those with COPD, cardiovascular diseases, various cancers, and post-rehab orthopedic conditions.
Mary knows the drive it takes to achieve great things with the body and mind, from a pair of NCAA career low golf rounds of 68 to completing the San Francisco Marathon. With her experience and her knowledge, she combines the science and the art of training to team up with clients to achieve their goals. Mary takes a vested interest in empowering and energizing her clients to transform their lives through fitness.
Originally from Canada, Danielle was a professional dancer for many years. Her years of dance training give her a unique and in-depth understanding of how the body moves, and the importance of proper alignment and technique.
Danielle is also a certified Pole Dance Fitness Instructor! She believes exercise is meant to be fun and productive and will help motivate you towards your goals and enjoy the time you spend getting to them.
Hillary is an ACE certified personal trainer and has a degree as a physical therapist assistant and in psychology. Growing up, she was never an athlete and became interested in weight training after reading her mother's fitness magazines and watching her do aerobic tapes. She believes that exercise is for everyone, and that it should be both enjoyable and sustainable.
She emphasizes proper form and safety in her training, and incorporates corrective exercise, functional training, weight training, plyometrics, bodyweight training, core strengthening, and stretching into her sessions. She believes in balance and moderation, and enjoys the occasional waffle.
Sherry has always loved to move. Her previous career was working as a dancer touring with the American Tap Dance Orchestra ensemble. Now with 15 years working full time as a certified fitness trainer, she has accumulated multiple credentials including a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from Columbia University and an exercise physiology certification from American College of Sports Medicine. Currently she is in the process of an all apparatus certification from the global Polestar Pilates Education Company.
Sherry’s approach to training is to first assess the personal goals of each client and then build a full body workout with a special focus on those specific needs. Her success in improving her clients posture, flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular health speaks to her longtime experience in working with these issues.
